Recommended Reading...
Doubtless, there are many more great anatomy books out there geared toward the artist, but these are the ones I know and can recommend.

My Hobby Bio...
I am an amateur artist with a collection of playscale action dolls that work well for me as "lay figures." I do use the wooden kind from time to time, but I find 12" GI Joe and artiBabs femfigs much more useful, particularly in the study of heads and faces. Presently, I have 96 male and 96 female commissioned figures.
In developing my modeling troupe, I have discovered various tips, tricks and information that other figure miniaturists may find useful and I welcome the same from others. With their variety of face molds, I have become somewhat of a headhunter, as well.
Though my troupe does have a considerable wardrobe, I collect, primarily, for a combination of sculpture and posability.

Win/Win on eBay...?
Recently, I won a figure on eBay of which I only wanted the headsculpt & body. I was able to find a buyer for the clothing & props right away. It occurred to me that sometimes figure collectors may be bidding against prop collectors and driving the bid up, unnecessarily. If that is the case, wouldn't it be better if we made some kind of collaborative effort, in order to keep final prices down?
I don't know how to make it work, but it might be a worthwhile strategy.
